Ford Ranger and Ford Everest recalled over fears transmission fluid pump gears could fail

More than 20,000 automobiles are being recalled over fears the transmission fluid pump gears could fail whereas driving.

The Ford Motor Company is recalling its Ford Ranger MY2017-2019 and Everest MY2018-2019.

The recall was issued by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission and results automobiles nationally.

“Transmission fluid pump gear failure can cause a loss of hydraulic fluid pressure in the transmission, which can result in a loss of motive power,” the recall defined.

This challenge could enhance the danger of the motive force having an accident and could lead to severe damage to these driving or different highway customers.

The recall impacts 15,924 of the Ranger fashions with the construct dates between 19 December 2017 to 15 October 2019.

It additionally impacts 5044 of the Everests with the construct dates between 30 May 2018 to 16 October 2019.

Ford will contact the house owners of any of the affected automobiles.

They will then organize for inspection and restore, freed from cost.
