The front bumper can get fog-lamp inserts like the Fortuner TRD Sportivo. It is inspired by Toyota’s latest-generation RAV4 SUV. Like the RAV4, the new Fortuner grille will have inserts. The headlamp and taillamp inserts have been changed, but the design of the lights is similar to the Fortuner’s current model. Apart from this, changes in body cladding and new design alloy wheels can be seen in the new Fortuner.
Interiors of the new Facelift Fortuner are not visible in the leaked photos. Toyota can make minor changes to the interiors in the new model as well as offering a better infotainment system than the current model.
The Fortuner is sold worldwide with a choice of petrol and diesel engines. These include 2.7-liter and 4.0-liter petrol engines and 2.4-liter, 2.8-liter and 3.0-liter diesel engines. The new Fortuner, introduced in the Indian market, will feature 2.7-liter petrol and 2.8-liter diesel engines from the current model, which will be in accordance with BS6 fuel emission standards.
