In Cyberabad, Telangana, on the intervening night of November 27 and 28, four people committed rape of a female vet. The echo of this incident was heard from the road to the Parliament. Protests were taking place across the country to punish the accused at the earliest.
On Friday, when the Telangana police took the four accused to the scene of crime near the National Highway-44 to reconstruct the crime scene, they tried to escape. During this, all four accused were killed in an encounter with the police.

27 November 2019: Four accused gang-raped with a female vet working in a government hospital. Drinking alcohol, the accused saw the doctor parked at Scooty and carried out the crime by planning a daringadi.
28 November 2019: The half-dead body of a 25-year-old female vet was found under a bridge in Shadnagar. After finding the dead body, this heinous case shook the whole country.
29 November 2019: Telangana police arrested four people, aged between 20 and 24, for rape and murder during the investigation of the case. The four accused were identified as Mohammad Arif, Siva, Naveen, and C. Chennakeshavulu.
29 November 2019: Court sends accused to 14 days of judicial custody. Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar said the incident was carried out under a conspiracy. The victim’s mother demanded that all the culprits be burnt alive in front of everyone.
November 29: Shadnagar Bar Association announces that no legal help will be given to those accused of rape and murder of a doctor. Lawyers in Hyderabad also supported.
30 November 2019: Telangana Chief Minister K.K. Chandrasekhar Rao announced the formation of a fast-track court for a speedy trial. Members of the National Commission for Women called on the families of the victims.
December 1, 2019: Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) M Mahendra Reddy takes action against the policemen who have been accused in this case. Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar suspended three policemen in the case.
December 2, 2019: Echoes of rape and murder of a doctor in Hyderabad, Telangana was also heard in Parliament.
December 3, 2019: Swati Maliwal, chairperson of the Delhi Women’s Commission, started a fast in Delhi to demand stringent legislation.
December 3, 2019: Chennakeshawulu, one of the four accused in Cherlapally Jail, has sought treatment for kidney disease.
December 4, 2019: Announcement of the formation of a special court in Mahbubnagar district court soon for a hearing of rape and murder of a female doctor in Hyderabad.
December 6, 2019: The four accused in the case were killed by the police in an encounter. Police said that while reconstructing the crime scene, the accused snatched the weapon from the police and opened fire on them. After which all the four accused were killed in retaliation.
