Shooting of ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ and ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ stopped, the film city vacated

Coronavirus cases are continuously increasing in India. The highest number of coronavirus cases have been reported in Maharashtra so far, strict steps are being taken in Mumbai keeping in mind the safety of all people.

In view of the safety of the people, today the Film City has been evacuated, due to which the shooting of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ and ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ has stopped.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Film City joint managing director Subhash Shantaram said that he had received a notification from the commissioner’s office in Mumbai to stop shooting.

After receiving the notification, the shooting of Alia Bhatt starrer film ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ and ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ in Film City has been canceled. He said, “We are worried about the health of the people, shooting of films and many Hindi and Marathi shows were going on here, but these have been stopped immediately.”

Apart from this, the shooting of all Ekta Kapoor’s shows including ‘Kasauti Zindagi Ki 2’ has been stopped due to coronavirus. The shooting will start after March 31, keeping Mumbai’s safety rules in mind.
